Too tight or just right

Trying a new stitch the afghan stitch. Pictured is my third try and I still see some mistakes with the tension of the yarn. The first one had a curve to it,  and the second attempt I didn't get the sizing and row count right. As with anything new try try and try again.
I tried to remember,  what was I thinking of when I was trying to learn this new stitch and it is all wrapped up in what is going on with my mom. Her care givers are so many different levels of training; from the highly qualified to as my sister calls it the slug person who just sits there and does nothing to help.

It's a matter of price

What do I price my one of a kind unique creations? At this point I have over 20 different scarves and need to find the best place to sell them and how much to for each one.

Stay away from sales!

Well I did it. I went innocently to the grocery store and all of a sudden my car was front on the craft store. Lured in by the grand reopening sale banner hanging in the front of the store I had to go!
Trying a mixture of bright purple with sequins woven in the yarn 93% acrylic 7% polyester (light weight) and an open weave of color blocks of black and silver with green, purple, white, and red in the middle.
The plan is make a scarf I'll update this blog with my progress.

Here is what a night of crocheting got me. Unfortunately I'm going to have to see if I can find some more of the fancy yarn because I'm almost out of yarn.

It's the same yarn just different lighting.

Soft squares

Sweet soft squares. I started with a mix of "baby soft" light blue 100% acrylic mixed with super soft found yarn a thin mix of pink, blue, white that is a various pattern of spun colors. There is so little of the found yarn and it is so thin I had to combine it with other soft yarns to create potentially a baby blanket. The idea is to mix blue, pink and white baby soft 100% acrylic yarns with the found yarn and then make additional squares of the baby soft yarn to make a patchwork baby blanket.
So far I have about 15 - 20 minutes in 1 mixed square.
