New crochet project shawl

Inspired by the tv series Outlander and after being badgered to make something other than scarves. I found this easy tutorial to make this shawl.
Below is the pattern and some of my progress:

History of my project

Found Yarn became a passion of mine when my mother needed company at night because she had stage 4 cancer. In going through some of her things together I found 4 boxes of yarn. I asked her if I could try crocheting with the yarn and she was very excited to see me doing something creative with her yarn.

Her excitement became my passion because everywhere I went I collected more yarn. From yard sales, thrift stores, or from donations of yarn so I could continue to make new projects.

My plan is to sell my Found Yarn Creations and donate the money and some of the creations to local homeless shelters and the needy.
